I had an interview in 2020 for a The HR representative asked a few standard questions, nothing special, and overall that part went fine. Then there was the technical interview, conducted by a young lady who did not have the necessary technical background to interview senior staff. Some of the questions were related to SQL Engine internals, and some of my answers were marked as incorrect. I tried to politely explain certain technical aspects and why my answers were correct, as things were not as she believed. Throughout the entire technical interview, the HR representative sat in the room, silently observing this awkward exchange.
