very good, the way people at AWS conduct interviews is impressively effective. Their interview model is the best I've ever experienced in terms of check on the quality and the performance of the candidate

Question 1
can you give me an example of a situation in which you took the wrong decision and how you sorted it out?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon
Interview
Take everything about human relationships out of it. Expect to be spoken to as a robot and give robotic answers. I had 'heard' this about Amazon and really didn't want it to be true, so I had to experience it myself.
I attended a virtual coffee chat with CSMs and other candidates. We were told to turn our cameras off and were only allowed to ask questions via chat which were very selectively answered. That was my first red-flag and honestly wish I didn't waste additional time after that.
If you put a lot of effort into 'studying' up the responses they want to hear, include their LPs and in the STAR format you will likely do 'pass'. It was very clear the interviewer wanted to hear very specific things. Apparently 'escalation' is very important at AWS, also working independently.
The types of questions asked seemed like they were read from a list and involved no critical thinking from the interviewer to take the information I provided (from previous questions) into account.
There were a lot of technical architecture questions despite being clear it was not a technical role besides understanding things like the cloud value prop and background delivering tech.
I ended the interview about 30 mins in saying it wasn't a good fit. I couldn't imagine talking to the person any longer.

Question 1
You can find in internet pretty much what is amazon style of interview. I will tell you something not at all covered in any website or youtube yet. REMEMBER, Amazon hires for role and not for company. Their LPs and the examples you provide for those LPs should exactly match with JD primary expectations (no exception as most of these tech companies says they hire for company but they don't, they expect you to be productive from day 1. LPs are good but the examples should match with JD else waste of your time and their time).
