The recruiter, interviewers all want you to succeed. The actual interviewer and shadow interviewer were excellent, gave hints when I got distracted. If you forget, they close the loop by bringing the results (outcome) of your example.
Follow the below diligently:
1. Thorough preparation of the 14 leadership principles is required. Practice! Practice!
2. Do mock interviews, have your friend, spouse, etc., play an interviewer role.
3. Always answer in STAR or PAR format. If you are distracted, come back to the section you left and when you can.
4. Try to center the examples related to the customer, at least where possible.
5. Give examples around tech-specific as much as you can, at least for questions not related to people management.
6. Make sure you take a moment and write down the question, even though it is a remote call, so you can make sure you answer all parts of the question. Also, you can ask for few seconds or a minute if you want to frame your answer. Don’t hesitate.
7. Always, practice to do mock interviews with bullet points, so it helps during the actual interview.
