Online application, phone interview, four interviews on site. Everything went smoothly and it was very easy to organize the interviews, both the one on the phone and the on-site. The final interview was very challenging but fun.

      Interview

They first conduct an online test, then a phone interview, then 4 consecutive online interviews. They are all based on their leadership principles. The online test is very abstract and personal, it seems like there are no correct answers so just go with your gut. The other interviews are very data based. You have to follow STAR format when answering questions.

How did you accomplish a goal even though deep down you knew you could not achieve it? Please explain with data points.

      New Accounts Manager Interview

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Milan) in Apr 2025

      Interview

The overall process, from initial contact to the final interview, took about two months. The scheduling was a bit messy (for some reason, I had to speak with three different people just to schedule my first interview), and each step took forever to arrange - though I suppose it might be easier if you have more flexibility with your availability. The first step was a 45 min interview with a team member. It started with the classic "tell me about yourself" question, followed by 2 behavioural questions (the interviewers remind you to answer using the STAR method) - one question was in English and the other in Italian. I was told immediately that I had passed this round. The second and final step was the infamous panel interview with four team members (about 1 hour per interview, one of which was conducted in English). Two interviewers focused solely on behavioural questions (2–3 each), while the other two included one behavioural question, a sales pitch roleplay, and an Excel case. The Excel case is more about demonstrating your thought process than showcasing advanced Excel skills, but you do need to know the basics. Each interviewer asks you to start with a short self-presentation. After passing the first interview, I was contacted by a hiring manager for a video call, where I could ask questions and receive tips for the panel interview, which was very helpful. Overall, the experience was quite positive. Everyone I spoke to was kind and made me feel at ease. However, preparation is key: you need to have tons of examples ready for behavioural questions and anticipate all possible follow-up questions they might ask (they will go into a lot of detail). Preparing for this over two months was exhausting. It’s a bit disappointing that, after such an intense process, the outcome is simply an automatic rejection email with no feedback whatsoever. At least they tell you since the beginning that they won’t provide feedback if you’re not offered a position.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      1. Tell me about a time when you noticed a colleague, client, or stakeholder struggling and you helped them. 2. Tell me about a time when you had a very tight deadline: how did you manage to meet it? 3. Tell me about a time when you decided to study or deepen your knowledge on a topic in order to perform better at work. What was it about, how did you approach it, and what was the main challenge? 4. Tell me about a time when you faced an obstacle in achieving a goal: how did you overcome it? 5. Tell me about a time when you had to conduct an in-depth analysis of a problem in order to solve it. 6. Tell me about a time when you identified a problem within your team: how did you communicate it, and what did you do to solve it? 7. Tell me about a time when you made a decision that sacrificed short-term gains in favor of long-term gains. 8. Tell me about a time when you took on a task outside of your usual responsibilities because you felt it was important. How did you manage your time with respect to your regular tasks? 9. Tell me about a time when you made a business decision without consulting your manager.
