I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Amazon in Sept 2011
Interview
Pre-lim phone interview. Interviewed with three separate senior level managers. The position was not offered to me due to headcount issues. I feel confident that I would have received an offer had the headcount been there for the numbers needed.
The initial interview process to obtain the current job I have consisted of two phone screenings, one by a recruiter and one by a senior level manager. I was invited to have a face to face interview which was a panel interview (Amazon is known for these types of interviews) with three individuals in senior management.
I received the job offer two days later.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Describe a time where you went above and beyond your job description. Tell me what the circumstance was and why you made the decision to do what you did.
Describe a time where you had to make your own decision in a difficult situation. What was the situation? What decision did you make? What was the outcome?
The process took a very long time and after 4 rounds of interviwes I got only an auto rejection email. The company check only the Leadership principles, and it looks like they don't have an interest in smth else. Anyway people were nice, the case study was interesting as well.

Did a test task and was called by HR almost immediately for the next round. But salary range (full packet with stock and benefits) and return to office policy did nit much my expectations
very standard. the interviewers had a set of questions to ask about the LPs so we can anticipate beforehand. But I think I got ghosted in the end. One of the interviewers told me about the 2 & 5 rule but its been more than 2 weeks since my last interview and still no response from anyone so idk what happened.
