I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon in Nov 2016
Interview
I attended the interview in Kochi. It was a walk in. There were nearly 300-400 candidates. We were divided into groups of 15 each. Initially there was a GD. 15 members were there in it. They shortlisted around 5-6 and eliminated the rest. If you have good language and GK, you'll clear the GD. The 5-6 members were asked a few questions to know whether they'll continue to work with Amazon for long time... If you can convince them that you'll work for long, then you're shortlisted for the next round. Others are eliminated. Then they had a 35 minute online versant test to know your English proficiency. It includes various typing tests, which needs to be completed in the given time. If you're good in English and you can understand American accent English and also typing speed, then you'll clear this round. It's also an elimination round. It you clear this round, then there's an operational round to know your work knowledge. If you have experience in the same field, then it's easy. Otherwise it might feel a bit difficult. This is the final round. After this they ask you to wait, and they inform you whether you're selected or not within 30 minutes. If you're selected, they give the number and email id of the HR recruiter and will tell that he/she will contact you within 1-2 weeks. I recieved a call in 2 days and also received an email asking to submit the documents for background verification. After 1-2 days you'll get a courier, in which there is an offer letter, relocation letter, and NDA form. You need to send it back the same day itself. Your Date of Joining and SALARY will be mentioned in the offer letter.
