I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Asked me about my experience, three rounds, 1 Python/SQL and LPs. 2. LPs, Prev. experience and Statistics/ML. 3. HM round (optional). It was decent and pretty straight forward. As it was an internship interview. They drill on the prev experiences and ask each and every corner of the resume.
Other Data Scientist Intern interview reviews for Amazon
There were two back-to-back rounds: one hour of behavioral questions focused on leadership principles, 30 minutes on statistics and machine learning, one SQL histogram question, and one Python question for 30 minutes.
I had 2 rounds of interview. One was behavioural based on leadership principles + coding round based on DSA and the second round was technical focussing on Data science and ML fundamentals.
