I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Tracy, CA) in Sept 2015
Interview
Extremely Easy. I applied on the SMX Staffing website which asked what my last 2 jobs were, what was my favorite job and why, and a few multiple choice questions that were common sense to answer. I was then asked to pick an interview date and time as well as what job shift I would like to work if I was hired.
A recruiter called me 2 days later to confirm my interview appointment and to remind me that I needed to bring 2 forms of ID AND my High School Diploma.
The interview was the easiest I have ever had. After 3 questions I was told they wanted to hire me and asked me to take a saliva drug test while I filled out my W2s and other forms required when starting a new job. I was then asked to sit in a group with 15 other people who had just got hired that day for a 30 minute welcome introduction orientation to the company.

Orientation was fun. It is a great place to work if you like to actually work. Moneys definitely worth it.
It was pretty straightforward we had over a hundred people who were interviewed one after another since it was a new location at Sacramento. I think they had their mind made up on who they want before the interview itself
