I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Akamai (Surathakal) in Aug 2012
Interview
An initial written round, which consisted of an objective section(general aptitude + basic C,C++) followed by a written section consisting of 4 problems - one was a programming question, the other was a database ER diagram, code for a puzzle, the last was a simple tree problem. Selected applicants from this round then had a series of interviews.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Akamai (Boston, MA)
Interview
I applied to their role on their website and a recruiter reached out to me to schedule interviews with the hiring manager and other members of the team. The interview process was drastically shortened for me because the hiring team wanted to fill the position very quickly, So the entire interview loop lasted only a week and a half.
the interviews consisted of a behavioral with the hiring manager and a hackerrank technical with a engineering team member.
