The interview process was extremely easy and although it took speaking to about 5 different people before being presented to an interviewer who was my boss controlling the north east business for all of Abbot at a nice hotel bar I flew to in jersey. In truth he mostly just wanted to focus on the type of person I was and in my case why I had decided to leave a high paying healthcare job to enter into the brain medical device world. I explained my desire to move on from direct patient care as a physician and that the majority of my other work that was joyful for me was 3 post grade years as a NSF neuro fellow doing research and then going to school at Cornell to learn to engineer devices there’re and eventually work for the army building devices as well. That was it really—-(1) how you are as a person (why would you want this tough job over others you had or could have, and (3) what. Traits or experiences do you have in the past that makes you think you’ll succeed her in our company. Interviewer was nice and even a bit of smooth sales man for his company at the time in selling this position and his company to really qualified applicants. You’ll all like this part of the interview process and the many steps needed to get hired.
