I applied online. I interviewed at AbbVie in Feb 2021
Interview
Was a great experience. They truly try to get to know you as a person versus drilling you with uncomfortable questions. Started with phone call, then zoom with DM, then zoom with 2 DMs, then zoom with DM and regional director. Ultimately did not get the job based on experience of other candidate.

Question 1
How did you prepare for this interview?
If you got the job today, what would you tell your employer?
Pretty strenuous, but seemingly standard for pharma. 4- 2 hour interviews with various DM’s and trainers. Mock role play selling a Pharma product on the second interview. Bring resume and brag book to interview.
Very fundamental and routine interview process that involves background information and experience description. May involve small amount of STAR method during the interview to describe experience and knowledge of previous roles and experiences.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AbbVie
Interview
Started off by speaking with a recruiter for a quick screen for 30 minutes. After that, was moved along to an interview with a regional director (district manager spot wasn’t filled) and then had the opportunity to speak with the manager once she was hired.
Let me first start by saying I have nothing but respect for AbbVie and know they value their employees. However, I left this process feeling disrespected and am now apprehensive about applying in the future. There was essentially no communication coming from the recruiter/regional manager, was told I’d be moving on in the process and was told next steps, then told after another long break of no communication that the job was filled. I would’ve much rather been told I’m not selected than have been hung out to dry like this.
