I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ASEAN-Korea Centre (Seoul) in Jun 2023
Interview
The interview process includes two parts. First part was a Eng-Kor translation writing assessment. Second part was approximately a 40-minute long five candidate-interview with a variety of follow up questions.

Question 1
What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ASEAN-Korea Centre (Seoul) in Jul 2021
Interview
There were 5 people on the interview panel. 3 were internal staff and 2 were external members. I went into the interview with 4 other candidates. The interview was conducted entirely in English except for the self introduction part at the beginning, which was done in Korean. The interview lasted about an hour and was followed up by a written test that lasted about 30 minutes.

Question 1
The interview questions were very typical like why I applied for the job, why I am planning on leaving my past job, what I do when I have a disagreement with a coworker, which Unit I wanted to work in and why, what my career plans are for the next five years etc. They did ask one or two ASEAN-related questions such as what I think the differences in perception are between ASEAN people and Korean people and how I can contribute to bridge the gap.
The written exam was a very simple prompt about whether I am a morning person or a night person. However, I know for a fact that more recent recruitment rounds had more challenging questions about ASEAN-Korea relations as well as a translation test.
