I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (West Malling, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview is video based whereby a question will appear and you have a time lapse to answer. If you're not a quick thinker, you won't have enough time to answer and the system will move to the next question. You have to practice important question prior to the interview and answer the main points only or else you won't succeed.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Vernon Hills, IL) in Apr 2026
Interview
Very odd interview. Joint video call where they barely ask you anything and don't provide much information. Everyone was only asked one question. It was uncomfortable. Wouldn't accept even if they offered.
Standard interview process with common retail-related questions, covering customer service, sales experience, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Straightforward, predictable format—no surprises—focused on assessing communication skills and fit for a fast-paced retail environment.

Question 1
Can you tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer and how you handled it?
It only took about 5 minutes, the interviewer asked me general interview questions and showed me around the store. It was supposed to be a group interview but I got there 10 minutes early so I guess I got to do it alone
