Does Walmart offer massages?

Pros

Pay and benefits are very good. Walmart so its just about average place of work. A discount card, vending machines, and a cafeteria, with sometimes free food and water. Sometimes the hours are more or less but the feeling you get at the end of a long hard day after loading them trucks is good.

Cons

The loading/shipping dock is big but very hard work. Similar to orderfilling. I have never seen loaders not busy doing something, its pretty corny actually. Load, red lights, jams, merge jams, housekeep, damages, challenging. The underlying problem in the shipping department is with what is called the "floaters". Once a loader becomes a floater or is brought in from another department as a floater they see it as a license to stand around on a PE and do nothing to help loaders, load, or moreover make the shipping dock more efficient. (floaters=managers favorite). Floaters job is very easy because the PE does all the work, and nowadays, the pallets get wrapped by a machine. But somehow, you see the floaters are the most cantankerous, stroppy, negative people on the shipping dock. Some of them need to easily be replaced. It was a position which was free to be revised by shipping leadership so the floaters are more productive and do not just stand there half the shift like they always does. But the issue doesn't stop there, Floaters also contribute to the red light problem in other ways, but I don't want to go into any more detail into how. Orderfilling has many direct links as well which goes into the shipping dock. Yard drivers some times make waiting on truck trailers overly slow.

Does Walmart offer dental insurance?

Pros

Great benefits such as 41k and health/ dental insurance,Sick and holiday pay using pto.Alot of room to grow in this company as far as career advancement. Aso helps with school needs and resources to get a degree.

Cons

Doesn't always offer proper training and proper resources as far as tools to get the job done. Associate are often thrown in the fire so to speak and have to learn from experience. Associate morale is not priority, yes they do offer surveys to check up on your mood every day but nothing more other then that. Make guidelines to company standards ( Walmarts one best way) most store dont follow them at all.

Advice to Management

Value the associates, I get it is a business a busy one at that , but respect the individuals that work there they are the back bone to the company success. Dont look at associates as ants that can be replaced.
