What is the hiring process like at Intuit?

Pros

management trying to pay attention to interaction with public and company.

Cons

The surveys have been starting to become a continual repeat. Surveys that do not allow for any opinion, surveys that only allow for patting on ones back. information tracking from multiple angles for different areas that make it a burden to get work accomplished. Working in a new division and the lack of qualified members of upper management that do not have a clue as to what the work is or how it is accomplished. The hiring process for personnel to do selected work is more than a basic question but management for the most part only needs to be able to say Business Tax to apparently come off as being qualified. There are multiple times where it is apparent when one manager from the next is saying things entirely different as if the individual in overall command has a overall ineffective structure on how things flow thereby causing chaos and confusion. The AI that is being raved about appears to be continually starting with the same individuals for case assignments so the so-called assigning to the best person is for the most part discriminating and giving assignments out based on how close you name is at the start of the alphabet.

Advice to Management

Get you act together and focus on getting on the same page. The company is working with information especially from the IRS and States that is constantly changing. If you are not willing to keep up with the information and share with your peers, go get a spatula and apply at McDonalds. The concept of cooking a hamburger does not change as fast.

What is working from home like at Intuit?

Pros

Seasonal gig. Good benefits, good culture, work from home so pajama pants are cool. Software works 99% of the time. Working TurboTax phones was pretty laid back and gratifying to help people understand their tax filing.

Cons

The bonus is partially based on customer reviews, and the people most likely to leave reviews are the people pissed off their refund is too small for their liking. I am skipping 2022 because every customer is going to lose their minds about the advanced CTC reducing their refund knowing the bonus is impossible.

Advice to Management

Gotta work harder to recruit quality seasonal talent! Most of my pod were idiots that quit by March.
