Big congratulations to Orkin’s own Machelle Stockstad! She was recently recognized at the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) Women’s Forum as one of 108 Impact Award honorees. She's also the chair of Orkin's Women's Impact Network. Moments like this reflect more than individual achievement: they highlight the importance of elevating women in our industry and investing in strong, inclusive leadership. At Orkin, we’re proud to support and celebrate the women who are shaping our future, leading with expertise, and making a lasting impact across our business.
Atlanta didn’t just show up; they made a difference. At the second Mosquitoes Don’t Deserve a Drop blood drive, our teammates helped generate 46 donations while exploring Orkin’s new Discovery Zone at the Fernbank Museum and even meeting Buddy the Blood Drop. Moments like these reflect what it’s like to work at Orkin: a team that comes together to support one another, give back to the community, and make a real, measurable impact. If you’re looking to be part of a company where your work goes beyond the job and helps make a difference, we’d love to have you on the team.
The Los Angeles team just kicked off this year’s Mosquitoes Don’t Deserve a Drop blood‑drive campaign, and the impact is already real. Volunteers collected 48 units of blood at the first campaign drive of the year, helping save lives and setting the tone for what’s ahead. And this is only the start. Drives are happening nationwide, including in Atlanta, Dallas, and Denver, with more on the way. Moments like these show what it feels like to be part of Orkin: we show up for our communities, we take action, and we make a difference together. See highlights from the L.A. drive and find a donation opportunity near you!
This week, we proudly celebrated the opening of our Arlington Commercial Branch in Texas. It's an exciting milestone as Orkin continues to grow and strengthen our Commercial presence. This new location is about more than expansion. It allows us to be closer to our customers, respond faster, and better support the teams who deliver high-quality service every day. Most importantly, the celebration was about our people—the local team, leaders, and employees who bring the Orkin brand to life through their commitment and expertise. And more than 40 people showed up to support. This is what growth looks like at Orkin: investing in our people, expanding our presence, and delivering performance that makes a difference.
Our Monroe, Louisiana, branch recently showed some love for their home state, proudly known as The Boot. As part of Love the Boot, a statewide initiative focused on litter removal and community beautification, teammates rolled up their sleeves for a cleanup near their branch. To date, the organization has helped remove more than 500 tons of litter across all 64 parishes in Louisiana. Orkin is always proud to show off and appreciate our team members making a difference where they live and work, and taking pride in their communities.
Mosquitoes Don’t Deserve a Drop is back! This signature Orkin campaign has a powerful purpose: helping protect communities from mosquito-related public health threats while ensuring patients in need have access to a safe, reliable blood supply. This year, the Los Angeles area will kick off our first blood drive on May 5, with additional drives planned in Atlanta, Denver, Cleveland, Dallas and Knoxville. Since 2020, Orkin has donated more than $1.1 million to the American Red Cross. It's proof that when our teams come together, we can make a truly lifesaving impact.
While working in Silsbee, Texas, Orkin Pro David Parker stopped for gas and noticed an elderly woman who had fallen face‑first onto the concrete and was seriously injured. Without hesitation, David stepped in — grabbing a first aid kit, asking someone nearby to call 911, and staying with her to apply a trauma pad and share critical details with the operator until help arrived. Before leaving, he also took time to explain the situation to the woman’s husband, offering reassurance during a stressful moment. Moments like these define who we are. Orkin Pros like David lead with integrity, compassion, and care. And that’s exactly why our customers and communities trust Orkin.
Orkin made a surprise appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! And it was the kind of moment that shows what makes our culture special. During a March Madness segment featuring uniquely named players, University of West Alabama’s Amillion Buggs joined virtually. Live on air, we surprised him with an NIL sponsorship, because when your last name is “Buggs,” the partnership just writes itself. It was fun, fast‑moving, and full of personality, which is exactly how we like to work. We’ll be teaming up with Amillion on content in the coming months, and our teams are excited to bring this creative project to life. If you’re looking for a company that embraces creativity, celebrates big moments, and isn’t afraid to have fun, check out Orkin's opportunities.
We want to give a special shoutout to an Orkin superstar, Michael H., for going above and beyond in a moment that truly mattered. Back in January, Michael noticed an 85‑year‑old man who had become lost while trying to pick up his grandchildren. The man’s family had no idea where he was. Michael immediately stepped in by stopping to help, contacting the family, and guiding them to their missing loved one. His family later shared: “Mike’s actions demonstrate that humanity and compassion still exist, even when most people seem too busy to help a stranger. I hope Orkin recognizes that his behavior reflects not only his character but also the values of your company. One act of kindness can leave a lasting impression, and Mike exemplifies that perfectly.” We couldn’t agree more. We’re incredibly proud to have teammates like Michael who reflect the very best of Orkin every day.
Branch 437 in San Jose, California, is a great example of what Orkin’s Empathy value looks like in action. The team recently volunteered with Sacred Heart Community Service, giving their time and energy to support families across the local community. Through their efforts, volunteers helped provide food, clothing, and essential services to people who need them most. It’s inspiring to see teammates come together to make such a meaningful difference — and a reminder of the impact we can all have when we step up for our communities. #OrkinServes125
