One of the most exciting things about working at Intuitive is our growing global presence. Though our roots are in Silicon Valley, California, our mission of bringing minimally invasive care to all communities means constantly expanding our reach. At this moment, we’re building new sites in several countries, including in Parvomay, Bulgaria, where construction is underway on a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. The team there will increase our capacity to make endoscopes for Intuitive’s da Vinci robotic surgery systems. We’re excited to hire for assembly and engineering roles that will not only allow people to grow meaningful careers in their home country, but impact people’s lives around the world. The human body has its limits. What doesn’t have a limit is human ingenuity. At Intuitive, we’ve been transforming surgery for more than 28 years. All that work has brought us five generations of da Vinci. Da Vinci 5, the most advanced and integrated system we’ve ever created, delivers our best and most realistic 3D image with better color and resolution. It’s also our most ergonomic system, delivering an immersive console that offers even more comfort to aid in career longevity. Transforming surgery for the benefit of patients, surgeons, and hospitals—that’s Intuitive. https://lnkd.in/ehga3_Nb
You’re never too young to learn about lung cancer, or the innovative technologies that help enable clinical confidence to get early answers and accelerate lung cancer program impact. Here we are with our friends at Breathe Southern California, as we live that principle. We also brought our Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience (TOME) along for the ride. TOME is more than just a truck. It’s a purpose-built experience designed to advance the awareness of how Intuitive technologies help get earlier answers for lung cancer patients. Screening for lung cancer is critical. Knowledge is critical. Not just in California, but also across the U.S. That’s why we put TOME on wheels—so we can take our experience where it’s needed. Lung cancer may be the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, but we’re striving to change that. Together.
“I’m proud of the technology. I’m proud to impact patient lives. But what I’m most proud of is how working at Intuitive is growing and stretching me.” – Meika Miller, da Vinci clinical sales representative. This week, Meika and other Intuitive team members are excited to be at the National Sales Network’s (NSN) 2024 Annual Conference in Houston. They’re demonstrating our da Vinci surgical system and interviewing curious and passionate candidates for Sales roles that help transform healthcare. At Intuitive, every innovation we make leads us to helping doctors change patients’ lives. And that includes right here at home, where so many of our employees and the people they love have been affected by da Vinci surgery. Senior Manufacturing Engineer Claudia Lopez Rivera’s journey to this company wasn’t easy. She and her family left El Salvador’s civil war for a better life. “There had been so much chaos and disarray in my life,” Claudia says. “Process became a way of making sense of everything. Becoming a process engineer was a way of looking at things in order.” In 2019, all the processes Claudia works so hard to create became very personal when she needed da Vinci surgery to remove her gall bladder. “I cannot say enough about how great an outcome my surgery was,” Claudia shares. “My recovery was short and painless.” Now Claudia feels even more passionate about the innovations she strives for every day. “I’m doing it for the next patient. I’m doing it for somebody’s brother or sister or mom, and that makes it much more meaningful.” Are you ready for a challenging and rewarding career with true impact? Every day at Intuitive, employees build leading-edge technology that empowers doctors to save lives. This is a place where our passion for innovation, our laser focus on patient care, and a culture of openness and inclusivity drive meaningful progress and personal growth. Managing Engineering Fellow Pink (aka Ian) McDowall has been contributing to Intuitive’s progress for 16 years—but it’s only recently that they’ve felt the full power of belonging here. A tragic event propelled Pink to change. As their boss was dying, Pink looked back on their life and realized: “I had to be my authentic self.” Part of their expression was changing from the masculine clothes they had always worn to the office to wearing skirts and more female-style clothes. “Dressing the way I do makes me feel whole, and that’s a really great feeling.” Pink also wanted to use their own experience to educate other employees about gender identity—encouraging questions and dialogue after they gave a presentation about their new fashion. “I wanted to make it clear to people that it was important to me, and afterward people told me I’d made them more comfortable having conversations about gender identities, particularly with their kids.” Pink shares their story with the hope that it will “help other people feel a little more confident about expressing themselves.” Join us in building an Intuitive where everyone can belong and flourish: https://lnkd.in/exCvRUJU #WeAreIntuitive
