Advancing the future of robotic surgery in Asia-Pacific and beyond—that’s Intuitive. And imperative, as we strive to increase access to minimally invasive care across the globe. Intuitive CEO Gary Guthart recently concluded an impactful trip across the region, visiting China, Japan, South Korea, and India. We celebrated the opening of an innovation hub in Beijing, a global capability center in Bengaluru, and signed key MOUs with leading hospitals in South Korea. We introduced Japanese surgeons to da Vinci 5, the most advanced and integrated system we’ve ever created. We also engaged healthcare leaders in critical and insightful conversations about reimbursement challenges and robotic surgery outcomes across Asia-Pacific. “When we meet with customers and bring our latest technologies to market around the globe, we continue our effort to expand access to minimally invasive care,” says Intuitive CEO Gary Guthart. “Intuitive is proud to be part of the innovation ecosystem throughout Asia, striving to improve the experience of patients and care teams in the countries we serve.” At Intuitive, we strive to help physicians deliver the best outcomes possible—no matter where in the world they work.

We’re live at the Intuitive Innovation Forum 2024 in Copenhagen, where executive, clinical, and operational healthcare leaders from across Europe have gathered to explore the future of robotic-assisted surgery. For seven years, this forum has enabled healthcare providers to connect, innovate, and transform surgery—together. This year, we’re doing that by implementing and optimizing da Vinci surgical programs; by gleaning insights from data; by exploring and advancing health equity. “At Intuitive, we believe in pioneering new directions in minimally invasive care—and we believe in doing it together,” said Dirk Barten, vice president and general manager of Intuitive Europe. “Our goal is to elevate surgical standards and expand access to high-quality care.” Transforming surgery for the benefit of patients, surgeons, and hospitals across Europe and the world—that’s Intuitive.
At Intuitive, our mission is paramount: enhancing minimally invasive care to help doctors change lives around the world drives everything we do. For our team, that means knowing our work has a meaningful affect—it pushes us to innovate and inspires us to do better every day. We’re excited to share these stories of our curious and driven employees moving our mission forward while having an undeniable impact: https://lnkd.in/eMJ2YPSs #WeAreIntuitive
We built Ion on the belief that collecting lung tissue samples for biopsy could be safe and simple, even when lung nodules are small and located in hard-to-reach places. Our goal was to help shorten the patient journey to lung cancer diagnosis and care. Preliminary results of the CONFIRM study presented at the AABIP conference tell us we’re getting there. Why does it matter? Because patients told they have a suspicious lung nodule shouldn’t have to wait for answers.
Where has your curiosity led you? Da Vinci senior clinical senior representative Meika Miller, MBA was “always the inquisitive type,” she says. “In the interview process, when I recognized that one of the characteristics Intuitive sought was curiosity, I knew this was the place for me.” Meika joined Intuitive in 2021 and has been growing her Sales career ever since. She credits the support of her team and a patients-first mindset with her success and personal fulfillment she’s found here. Outside of work, Meika spends time with her husband and four children, and she looks forward to continuing her journey at Intuitive, always following this advice from her grandmother: “Get comfortable being uncomfortable.” Because, as Meika explains, “If you’re always in the comfortable place, you’re not growing, you’re not stretching. When I joined Intuitive, my shoulders grew broader. Because it is a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. I want to be my best self for the patient.” Curious where a career at Intuitive might take you? Learn more: https://lnkd.in/e-B7NdMi #WeAreIntuitive

We‘re honored to take part in the CHEST 2024 conference in Boston. Meeting with physicians across the chest medicine spectrum is always enlightening. And this year, we’re excited to be here to unveil our latest innovations to the Ion robotic bronchoscopy system: three groundbreaking updates that further enhance the system’s navigational accuracy while laying the foundation for planning beyond biopsy in the future. Updates to the Ion system and PlanPoint software include advanced planning and navigation features that enhance visibility to critical anatomical structures, such as vasculature, and allow physicians to mark precise areas of interest within or around a target nodule. Ion’s enhanced cone-beam CT integration now interfaces directly with both Siemens Healthineers’ Cios Spin and GE Healthcare’s OEC 3D, furthering the ability to correct for CT-to-body divergence and improve workflow efficiency. And My Intuitive now enables Ion physicians to track case information and use their performance data to generate insights that help improve their practices. These recent innovations are part of our continuing quest to transform the future of lung care. Why? Because your patients deserve early, complete answers.
