As the future of American manufacturing is returning to classrooms across the country, we're cheering on the next generation of welders learning their craft in high school programs. These aren't just classes – they're launch pads for careers in welding, construction, aerospace, automotive, and beyond. Through our 2025 High School Welding Education Initiative, we're proud to support 72 schools nationwide with equipment, training, and resources that give students experience with real industry tools. Carroll County Area Tech Center in Carrollton, KY joined our High School Welding Education Initiative this year! They received a vital donation of welding hoods, safety equipment, and grinding disks from the local Airgas team, enhancing their curriculum and offering students hands-on experience. We're especially inspired by the growing number of female participants. We commend the educators and students in these programs. Investing in welding education today builds tomorrow's manufacturing excellence! #BacktoSchool
We’re shining the spotlight on the exceptional operations at our Odessa, Texas cylinder plant, which has been named one of two National Cylinder Plants of the Year! Out of more than 400 Airgas cylinder plants nationwide, the Odessa facility stood out for its outstanding performance and unwavering commitment to safety. This plant’s dynamic, diverse team, supported by a majority female production team, has set ambitious goals and consistently exceeds expectations. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the power of diverse talent, relentless commitment, and a culture of success. Way to go, Odessa! #AirgasAllStars
At Airgas, our people are our greatest asset, and their stories often reflect the positive impact we strive to make in our communities. Today, we're excited to share a particularly inspiring full-circle moment! Last month, we shared a Wall Street Journal article on one of the supported schools in our High School Welding Education Initiative - Father Judge High School, who has participated in this program since 2021. The article highlighted how several Father Judge high school welding students are obtaining high-paying welding jobs even before graduating, helping to set them up for success. What we didn’t know at the time was that one of the Father Judge students featured is the grandson of our very own associate, Myriam Crespo, a Total Access Specialist based in Levittown, PA. Myriam’s grandson Elijah is a high school junior who has already received a job offer in welding. By chance, that job offer happened to come from an Airgas customer who works with one of Myriam’s Total Access colleagues. Myriam expressed her and Elijah’s shared enthusiasm at the Airgas connections, and said, "It's super important to invest in the future of our youth. They are our future, and it's nice to know they have this kind of support." We're proud to support programs that empower the next generation and create pathways to successful careers, and it's incredibly rewarding to see the direct impact of our work on our Airgas family. #SkilledTrades #CommunityImpact #WorkforceDevelopment
Airgas associates are making a paws-itive impact in their communities! Our teams in Grand Prairie, Texas recently volunteered at the Grand Prairie Paws Adoption Center, dedicating a Saturday to caring for homeless pets. They tackled laundry, cleaned dog walk areas, took dogs for walks, and spent quality time with the animals. The shelter coordinator expressed immense gratitude for the extra help, and our team received an open invitation to return. #CitizenatWork
#Juneteenth reminds us of the enduring journey toward freedom, equality, and justice. Airgas honors this important day by reaffirming our commitment to fostering a workplace and community where every voice is valued and every culture is celebrated. Together, we continue to learn, grow, and build a more inclusive future—one where opportunity and respect are shared by all.
June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the importance of acceptance and equality. Airgas is committed to creating a workplace where every individual is treated with dignity and respect. When people feel supported for who they are, teams and companies grow stronger together. Wishing a Happy #PrideMonth to the LGBTQIA+ community!
Four South Region associates joined nearly 4,000 volunteers for Baynanza 2025, the 43rd Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day as part of a #CitizenatWork event around Earth Day. The team focused their efforts at the Vizcaya Museum, removing debris and harmful microplastics from the gardens and shoreline. Their contribution was part of a larger effort across 32 locations in Miami-Dade County that removed 16 tons of trash from the watershed. Thank you to our generous South Region associates!
April is #NationalVolunteerMonth, and Airgas teams continue to demonstrate their incredible spirit of giving through our Citizen at Work program! From coast to coast, our associates are making a positive difference in their local communities. The Airgas Retail Solutions team recently volunteered at two different Citizen at Work events in Florida: In Largo, FL, Airgas team members partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for children in need, cutting, smoothing and assembling the furniture with care. Their efforts will ensure that children in the community have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. In Tampa Bay, several of our associates volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay, purchasing and preparing meals for the families staying at the facility while their children undergo health treatments, helping to ease a burden during a challenging time. Thank you to all our Airgas volunteers! #NationalVolunteerMonth #CitizenatWork
As we celebrate #WomensHistoryMonth this March, we shine a spotlight on the increasing number of women welding students and instructors participating in our High School Welding Education Initiative! We’re grateful to help prepare these female welders for careers in the evolving manufacturing industry. Since 2018, Airgas has assisted 162 schools, nearly 12,400 welding students and over 660 teachers across the nation. #EmbraceDiversity #AccelerateAction
This Employee Appreciation Day, we express our gratitude to our 18,000 hard working associates, whose dedication, expertise and passion help Airgas thrive. Our people are the heart of our operations and help us make a difference every day. Thank you for all that you do!
