Pros

Most of the team are very pleasant. Some are excellent at what they do. There is a caring attitude for those on the COO's good side

Cons

Despite grand ambitions the company feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. The focus is on bums on seats and not exciting work. There is a lot of favouritism and cold-shouldering anyone who isn't part of the in group. This comes from the leadership team, who are mostly in their first true leadership roles. This really shows. The last two rounds of promotion have been focused on retention, and now there are people in senior roles who lack the experience to do them. 5 years consulting experience to Principal or Managing Consultant? This does a disservice to experienced employees, clients and the people over-promoted. They're being set up to fail.

Pros

Some good people, training courses provided. Good grad scheme

Cons

Resource model is based on 'bums on seats', people frequently are put into inappropriate roles for their skills and experience. Org side is a mess, they need dedicated staff for HR and organisational stuff. Directors aren't in touch with the issues people are experiencing. Lots of people raising the same issues for a long time, nobody listening. Inconsistent promotions.

Pros

The SLT support their employees and are fully committed to providing facilities and training to move people forward. There is a real team spirit if help is required. The work is very varied so you get involved with many aspects that you don't get in more formally structured companies. If you are a capable individual with the ability to adapt to change in a growing business, this is a great company to work for.

Cons

Not really sure there are cons - it's really all about your attitude to how much you want to be involved in as to whether you thrive & grow
