      A great community service company that doesn't listen to its employees

      Pros

      WECU provides a great community service! It offers staff good pay and amazing benefits. If you work hourly you can expect to get breaks, lunches and a reasonable amount of hours.

      Cons

      Senior Management doesn't listen to staff. If you are salary, expectations include you will not take break or lunch and will work 50-60+ a week.

      Great Atmosphere and Benefits; One Minor Downside to be Aware of

      Pros

      Employee benefits and perks are terrific. There's a great team atmosphere. Senior Management is approachable.

      Cons

      Middle management has a clique where all started around the same time and are tightly bound to one another. It's not terrible but for those that want to climb, movement into management is indeed difficult to penetrate. It didn't bother me personally but I would equate it to a high school environment with these individuals who operate as an old boys' club, err womens' club. They spend a lot of time in each other's offices so yeah, like high school. One of the managers was a drama queen. Glad to be away from her histrionics. I believe she was later demoted so----good on that. Outside of this, the environment is great. Coworkers are terrific and overall the atmosphere is very positive.

      Stressed Out Departments in Contact Center

      Pros

      -Good Benefits -Remote Option for certain departments (Not permanent) -Great Co Workers

      Cons

      -Not enough support for General Department that constantly requires daily support from other departments in Contact Center or Flex Reps. -Not able to focus and work on your departmental tasks/projects since so much support is needed for the general queue. -Lack of communication from other departments. -Not enough after 5pm or Saturday support from other departments. -Not enough growth opportunities within dept without leaving.
