The higher ups (not my employer) are genuinely ignorant towards any and all issues related to our location. Most everything in the building that needs to be fixed is mostly out of pocket from our boss and my manager. Some complaints have been, our cameras being out of date and not working leading to people having cash and credit cards stolen with little to no interventions, the building has many faults such as mold and other smaller issues like the drains being clogged. Any complaints that go to the higher ups are pretty much met with a "deal with it unless it gets worse". Well when they do get worse we get a half assed response to the issue at hand, pretty much saying what they said already leaving to us having to deal with these issues alone. The reason I am making this post is to hopefully reach the VetEvolve higher ups and tell them that this location is going to continue to be a revolving door of people who stay and leave because of these issues. The pay is also very very poor for what we have to do during the day. Who would want to stay at a job to work 25 hour part time shifts with $12.50 an hour when they could go somewhere else? And this question is usually met with "well what about the tips?" Well we have had an issue with people stealing tips for so long we eventually had to get a locked tip jar. A dog boarding place with a locked tip jar? That just looks bad and its all because we aren't getting the facilities we need to do our jobs here. If you love dogs feel free to work here but that is all you are getting out of this job sadly.
