Decent pay but outdated processes and leadership issues

Pros

Good pay. Decent PTO policy. Good amount of paid holidays. Overall not a bad company to get some experience.

Cons

Lots of people in leadership and management positions that have been there for decades, with no outside world experience and mediocre skillset. No formal training, non-existent processes, and outdated systems. If you came from any decent company at a prior role, working at versigent is the equivalent of stepping back in time 20-30 years.

Pros

Work for a large publicly traded company. Cafeteria is cool.

Cons

You will be treated like garbage. They will do everything in their power to not let you take any PTO. In finance, you are expected to work heavy hours consistently. You will do a lot of work that should have been put into a system. Processes are very terrible, and they do not plan to upgrade systems. One of the managers I worked for would try to guess our weight, or he would make uncomfortable jokes like your second wife isn’t born yet.
