messy - moral is low
22 Mar 2023 - Talent Acquisition Specialist in DubaiRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Some learning tools provided - i.e. linkedin learning etc
Cons
- salary increment is very low - no proper training or tools provided to help you get into the next step of promotion; more of learn on the job and hope for the best - no longer hybrid ; back to office 5 days a week but not enough space for meeting rooms or desk. collaboration and work culture is reasoning but i feel less productive and collab is there with this 5 days work week. Whilst everyone else is talking bout the benefits of longer weekend i.e. 4 days work week , remote work and hybrid - they basically said you should be happy to come into the office .

Pros
- Some employee are among the greatest minds I’ve ever met - Food credit and free breakfast
Cons
- Nepotism: the company is very proud of its “diversity” but in reality managers hire and promote fellow nationals (sometimes from their former company). Urdu and Arabic are as much spoken as English in some departments which indirectly excludes other employees. - Internal politics: your growth entirely depends on your networking skills. HR has no real power and one word from your manager can hold you from a promotion. This has led to a situation where a bunch of incompetent people are placed at strategic positions just because they are well connected. - Gossips and drama: most information circulate through the grapevine and not through official communication channel. You need to be careful about what you’re sharing with who as it can be used against you by some employees eager to climb the professional ladder. - The atmosphere is a gloomy mess, most employees spend their day on Linkedin looking for another opportunity. - Management almost never engages with employees, the only times they do is to shame and blame them for not reaching targets (which become more and more unrealistic month on month). - Bullying: Threatening and depreciating people is very common. Anyone questioning decisions made by management or their team lead will be deemed “culturally unfit” and “not aligned with the values”.

Pros
Super loved company in the region
Cons
Ran by properly incompetent people who don’t have the values of a person decent enough to differentiate between right and wrong. In my many many years in this company I have over and over see people get treated terribly by power tripping, egotistic maniacs PLEASE make the culture revolve around RESPECT
