Illegal and learned nothing.

Pros

-all virtual -flexible schedule -I like the idea behind superinterns (not sure if that's considered a pro)

Cons

-very illegal -learned absolutely nothing. Just don't even waste 6 months here. I couldn't tell you one thing that I learned. Not only that, but one of the company's superinterns works with found out that the whole superinterns operation was a scam, so they split with them only to leave 20-something interns behind with no sort of direction. Also, CEO isn't the friendliest. Yes, there may be some good reviews, but overall, I'd say just stay away from here. Take on a real, legal internship where you'll get actual professional experience.

Pros

There are not many pros to Superinterns.com, except for getting to create your own schedule.

Cons

The cons most definitely outweigh the pros. The company engages in a lot of illegal activity. First off it's a company whose work relies entirely on unpaid interns. Second you don't really learn much working there, since most of your supervisors are interns themselves. Why are unpaid interns leading unpaid interns...? Third the CEO does not provide much to the experience, I only got to really work with her once I got promoted but even then most of my time with her was on skype watching her write paragraphs on writing resumes. If you can, work a little harder and find a better internship elsewhere.

Pros

The CEO is very nice, but can be condescending at times. Flexible, virtual hours very helpful for someone like me who is still in college and also has a part time job.

Cons

I did not learn a single thing while interning here. I applied for the PR internship and did nothing at all related to PR. I didn't write a single press release, did not develop a single media kit, did not create any lasting or meaningful relationships with clients, nothing. You are cold calling people to have an "article written" about them and there's no actual writing involved. It is essentially a sales position. "Promotions" to supervisor positions are not based on hard work, effort, or time, simply just asking for it. I ended up having to get a second internship throughout my college career to actually learn anything useful about PR. They also advise you to lie about your position, telling people you are a PR Agent rather than an intern, basically feeding you to the wolves should you client ever find out you are only an intern.
