Pros

*If you like to praised all the time and if you are looking for `just a job` this place is for you. *It might be good place right after school to work for a year. Use as a jump post to a better career.

Cons

This company spend more time and energy on advertising rather than on competence and and technology. At the office and in digital environments. you are surrounded many posters, slogans and buzz words. The content is usually whatever is in fashion. Nothing original. All this effort is spent to attract more shareholders and to hide the real operation which is `more dividend for shareholders` . Nothing else matters. There is virtually no career opportunities if you are not a Swedish speaker. Even as a Swedish speaker you will get not clear career plan. The motto is *Tomorrow is another day we'll see what happens*. There are no investment in career development. In general Semcon has no interest in long term investments, it's basically a day to day operation. I saved the worst for last: However long you work here it doesn't matter when there is a drop in the business. If business shrinks and if you don't have an assignment at that time, you are out! It's that simple. With minimum notice period by law, no package nothing. This is because they will hire someone else once the business grows again and grow it will. Its all short term.

Pros

You don't have to be constantly afraid of getting laid off or fired through no fault of your own. Great job security, mostly reasonable management.

Cons

Relatively low salaries, often chaotic work processes, tasks that don't make much sense. My experience was you sometimes get effed around quite a bit from one type of job to another on short notice. Not a good thing if you dislike relearning everything from scratch every now and then.

Pros

Christmas party, summer party, benify

Cons

low-pay, poor work/life balance, unwilling to renegotiate salary, if working at customer sites there's very little communication, would not hire until an assignment had been procured (therefore making me interview with customers without pay), very quick to make redundancies once the assignments start to slow down. All training expected to be completed by customers.
