Product itself is a great idea and has tons of potential
Cons
- Low trust culture; extreme micromanagement from inexperienced Leadership, and several key employees have been abruptly fired as a way to place blame onto employees when targets aren’t being met. - CEO is more interested in personal branding than in running a successful business; she has zero experience in working in tech and it is more than apparent. - Morale is low and attrition is very high for a startup of its size/age. The team is bright and passionate but overworked and stressed. Several strong performers have left due to burnout. - Compensation is lower than market norms. Raises are only given during a promotion but they solely hire externally and do not promote internally. No company bonuses given, and no equity is given to foreign employees. Strong preference to outsource jobs to save money. - Benefits are bare bones; Marketplace is used for insurance in the US and is extremely expensive if you have a family, no 401k matching, no disability or life insurance, maternity/paternity leave only available after 6 months of employment.
