Pros

The real "workers" really have a passion for what they do, and have the students and teachers best interest in mind.

Cons

Management is horrible. It is all about who knows who. So many "good" employees leave simply because of the games management plays. This could be a GREAT company to work for if someone would read the reviews here and make changes. The problem is that all of upper management is in the same "click" and are fine sitting back and watching the good employees leave. HR is a joke as they allow this to happen, even with so many employees raising concerns. This is probably the most hostile work environment I have ever worked in. Read the reviews, you can tell how this company is really ran. So many negative comments about management. One would think that at some point upper management would get a clue.

Pros

Great Benefits, hard to beat! Great curriculum writing team and great summer instructor training program

Cons

The company employs a number of friends and relatives in management positions. There are more Chiefs than Indians, the title of SR/VP and VP are meaningless, Country Club hires are mostly there to get their PhD's and have no idea of their responsibilities, the company appears to have a high turnover rate of long term employees that have become too expense, unless you are a Country Club nepotistic hire, they expect a lot from staff... managers not so much. Oh and watch! In less than 24 hours they will have an internal person post something positive to offset this post.

Pros

Great offices, generous benefits including a very good 403(b) plan. It is a not for profit, so the pay is okay, but you won't get rich. Co-workers are generally very smart and personable. Opportunities for Professional Development abound if you can take the time away from your heavy work load. CEO is personable and an outstanding face of the company.

Cons

Nearly everyone is a Director, Associate Director or Vice President, i.e. too many chiefs and not enough indians. While the CEO is outstanding, some members of Senior Leadership and their staffs are out of their depth. Projects with lofty goals are started without considering how to reach them, then the goals are changed on a whim. Some departments seem to be wildly overstaffed with people who don't appear to do much of anything, while others are chronically understaffed. Management is incredibly secretive, making employees uneasy about their positions thus affecting morale.
