Pros

1. Can get leaves easily.

Cons

1. You need to complete 9 hours, even if you have work to do or not. 2. People here are just to make internal relationships. There is no focus on work and work timelines. 3. No quality in codes and product discussions. Only one person leads a project. There is no discussion within the whole team. 4. People here are judged by the friends circle they are involved in rather then their work. BE CAREFUL before you choose your friend here dude else you are not trustworthy! 5. Personal relationships here are so popular that the team is affected due to one's act. 6. If you are looking for gossip based company and not work based (as you cannot develop your skills here), then this one is for you champ! 7. Not a single product manager is aware of what exactly is going on inside the project. 8. There are so many useless developers in the company who just can do anything to stay in company, in short, politics. Making the whole company's environment worst to work for.

Avoid ProProfs if you are even little serious about your career

Pros

Not many meaningful pros to share. I think, most people here are ok, as they are all mostly freshers so it is nice to spend time with them. Some seniors are good.

Cons

Ok, so there are so many cons that I can mention not all of them, but I will try and add as many as I can: 1. First of all, this is not a company. This is a more similar to a shop. All top positions are owned by members of single family hence making it family affair. 2. This is not a company is also proved by the fact that ProProfs is not even registered as a private limited company. So all decisions and profits are shared by the family members. 3. Because this company is not registered, you will never get a loan or even credit card from any of the bank as long as you are working here. 4. Extremely poor HR policies. Most Hr policy here are anti-employee. The funny thing here is that all rules made by HR only applicable to employees and not to the HR. If you get late by 15 minutes, your salary is to be deducted, but HR comes to office only 1-2 days in a week, and that also only for 4 hours. That time is well spent in lunch and gossip. 5. Not a single employee benefit is here. No medical benefits. No maternity leaves. No paternity leaves. No mediclaim or medical leaves/sick leaves. No outgoing parties happen here. Only one party happens in a year on diwali, that also in office premises only, where they distribute samosas and chowmein. Enjoy! 6. Now lets talk about career. You have zero growth here. All top positions in development are filled by people who are here for 5-6 years. These are extremely incompetent people who will never find any job anywhere else so they will live here until ProProfs exists. So no chance for promotion here. 7. No learning. At least in dev side, they are working on many years old PHP technologies that no one is using. No modern tools like NodeJS, frameworks,React etc are used. All their sofywares application looks like they were designed in 1980s. Check out all competitor applications and check out ProProfs tools. Zero delight and all messed up, poorly coded apps that can be hacked by school kids. 8. All time is spent listening and getting instructions from design team who makes the worst design patterns. 9. Worst salaries in industry. In the recent appraisals people are getting hikes of 400 rupees, haha. 10. This is the best part: The office has one coffee machine which is put ON only two times a day, once in the morning and second time in the evening. So that employees can not drink more coffee/tea otherwise this will be loss to company. There are so many negative cons that I can spend the whole day writing, so I will stop now.

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad that you enjoy some of your experiences with the employees and seniors. We are proud to be a privately-owned company. Instead of being forced to make decisions by outside investors, we make long-term investments in our people and our technology. This gives us tremendous freedom compared to many other tech companies. Also, as family companies like WalMart, Nike, Wipro, Ford etc have shown, family companies with professional management tend to perform better over time compared to their peers especially those that are in it for a short term flip / exit. It seems you had an issue getting a loan or credit card. Since a bank giving a loan or credit card depends on many reasons, most importantly your salary, existing loans, and financial history - I regretfully can not promise you a resolution. However, our bank does give preference to people working at ProProfs. Please connect with HR and they will have our relationship manager connect with you to help out. I also regret that you are not enjoying working on the code base assigned to you. We have a few different code bases and they are in different levels of maturity - some were organically written while others were companies or products we acquired. I suggest you connect with technical manager and see if you want to instead work on an app, a new code base or code something from scratch. One thing I am sure of is there are a lot of challenging tech opportunities to work on at ProProfs and you can find one that is more up your alley. As for our HR policies - we are always looking to evaluate and improve. All policies apply to all except for a handful of case-based exceptions to a few (largely out of role or some personal reason). We will look into how we can improve further. If there are still unresolved issues that you may have, you are welcome to post your concerns anonymously on our HR Portal with specific issues and suggestions so as we can undertake necessary positive actions to make ProProfs a better workplace. We realize that our people are our key assets and we always value our people, their talent, and contribution.

Pros

None yet that matters to be important

Cons

-No employee benefits -Works on dated technology -Expects you to be available 24/7 but cuts salary if you are 5 mins late. -No infrastructure. Works in a building that looks like a godown. One toilet per 100 employess. Often no water in toilets, then you have to wait after using for water to arrive. Dirty toilet which is very smelly and messy everytime. -HR is here only for fun. Visits office like a guest 3-4 hours a week. -All this company do is design some basic UIs that are also very dated. The design team is worst in arrogance and think they are the only ones running this office. -Anyone can be fired anytime.

Thank you for the feedback. We strive to create one of the greatest workplaces in the country so I am disappointed to read this feedback. While we are open to all feedback, some of your statements are factually incorrect. For example, we do have employee benefits including office cab, employee recreation (daily table tennis, cricket, foosball, badminton), maternity and paternity leaves, events & parties and many more. There are 4 toilets per 100 employees, and all are in fine working order. Also, we had not a single instance of salary deduction due to someone being few min late. We take pride in the fact that we have an overall good retention record of high performing and high potential employees. We strive to ensure that we stand by the idea that our people are our key assets and we always value our people, their talent and contribution. I understand, that you may have some concerns related to some specific people behavior or some specific function etc., and I understand that your concerns may be valid based on your experience. However, I would encourage you to speak directly with me, or post your concerns through the feedback form at the HR portal, with specific details so that we are in the know of things and we can take necessary steps to better our processes and take measures to make ProProfs the best place to work.
