Ok, so there are so many cons that I can mention not all of them, but I will try and add as many as I can:
1. First of all, this is not a company. This is a more similar to a shop. All top positions are owned by members of single family hence making it family affair.
2. This is not a company is also proved by the fact that ProProfs is not even registered as a private limited company. So all decisions and profits are shared by the family members.
3. Because this company is not registered, you will never get a loan or even credit card from any of the bank as long as you are working here.
4. Extremely poor HR policies. Most Hr policy here are anti-employee. The funny thing here is that all rules made by HR only applicable to employees and not to the HR. If you get late by 15 minutes, your salary is to be deducted, but HR comes to office only 1-2 days in a week, and that also only for 4 hours. That time is well spent in lunch and gossip.
5. Not a single employee benefit is here. No medical benefits. No maternity leaves. No paternity leaves. No mediclaim or medical leaves/sick leaves. No outgoing parties happen here. Only one party happens in a year on diwali, that also in office premises only, where they distribute samosas and chowmein. Enjoy!
6. Now lets talk about career. You have zero growth here. All top positions in development are filled by people who are here for 5-6 years. These are extremely incompetent people who will never find any job anywhere else so they will live here until ProProfs exists. So no chance for promotion here.
7. No learning. At least in dev side, they are working on many years old PHP technologies that no one is using. No modern tools like NodeJS, frameworks,React etc are used. All their sofywares application looks like they were designed in 1980s. Check out all competitor applications and check out ProProfs tools. Zero delight and all messed up, poorly coded apps that can be hacked by school kids.
8. All time is spent listening and getting instructions from design team who makes the worst design patterns.
9. Worst salaries in industry. In the recent appraisals people are getting hikes of 400 rupees, haha.
10. This is the best part: The office has one coffee machine which is put ON only two times a day, once in the morning and second time in the evening. So that employees can not drink more coffee/tea otherwise this will be loss to company.
There are so many negative cons that I can spend the whole day writing, so I will stop now.
