Pros

-Pays well...because no one would stay longer than 2 months if it didn't.

Cons

-No 401K matching. Contract is shared by two companies and staff members under the other contractor company were receiving 401K matching but Priority One Services and management were content to brush over half their staff not having access to the same benefits as the other half, repeatedly being dismissive of concerns when it was brought up. -Few opportunities for promotion -Always understaffed. Be prepared to do the work of multiple employees. -Management caters to people who complain the most and will happily walk all over their most agreeable and hardworking employees. -Management are never in their own facility and know little about their own staff or issues within the facility. -Management lack emotional maturity and will get defensive when criticized and will be passive aggressive and micromanage their employees to make themselves feel important. They use senior staff as scapegoats to blame for lack of employee morale so they don't have to answer for their own behavior. -Management prone to gaslighting and false promises. -Management has awful hiring judgement. They hesitate to promote proven hardworking staff members for minor shortcomings such as small gaps in knowledge, but then repeatedly hire grossly incompetent new staff and then are reluctant to act when it's clear that they're not suited to the job, choosing instead to close their eyes and leave the rest of the staff to have to pick up the slack for these bad decisions for 3-4 months at a time. -Management lack empathy and humanity, having given several staff members stress over taking bereavement leave...on the DAY OF or immediately before their bereavement leave. They could not even be bothered to give grieving staff members at least a week of space because immediately asking for documented proof of death apparently takes precedent over caring about their employees.

Pros

Good for people who would like to get their foot in the door in animal research.

Cons

No raises or promotions for several years. No overtime. They dock your time if you are ever late, but if you stay past your time, you don't get compensated for your time. Bad management and poor training.

Pros

Coworkers are fine (Mostly) and work life balance is actually pretty decent, but That's about it. I don't see any more pros about working with this company/ contract

Cons

Where do I even start. - Management is grossly negligent and lack mental acuity and emotional intelligence to navigate the simplest of problems. They might as well not exist. Goats can run this contract and produce better results. -You will get fired for literally nothing. -Your immediate supervisors can be absolute dog water in performing simple procedures and then expect you to take charge in said procedure because THEY can't do it, and then will not show the slightest recognition for your help. -Favoritism will be your undoing here. If they don't like you for whatever reason, you will NOT advance. -Filing any type of complaint will get you dog walked by upper management. Retaliation much? -Lack of recognition and insanely imbalanced work load. -Hiring and promotion of incompetent staff leaving certain individuals bearing the brunt of the work load. -But also, sometimes they don't care about people being trained properly and will let them completely trash a room/ study??? I don't get it either.
