The company culture is completely lacking and unclear.
Some departments are modern, fun, with benefits and agile work structures, and others are a copy-paste of Volvo Cars (including the employees). Some teams are remote-friendly while other require full-time office work.
The differences also results in silos and a hierarchical structure of very strong top-down decision making which is not common for a Swedish company
Some colleagues are really looking to make a change whereas others are relient on work functions they've done for the last 30 years and are not interested in a change. And there seems to be no feedback process in place.
On top of that, I've never been at a workplace with so little employees' benefits. There seems to not be a budget for anything, not even during planned team workshops, so let alone for holiday celebrations or skill building programmes.
I think HR should start focusing on what kind of company Polestar aims to be and set a clear direction. Otherwise, you might as well work for Volvo and get a higher salary.
