Misleading Expectations, No Training, and Unprofessional Environment
Pros
Hybrid Office closed between X-Mas & NYE
Cons
I joined this company believing that no experience was required, yet I was immediately expected to handle videography and photography for medical clinics with very minimal training. My background is in fashion and beauty photography, which meant there was a learning curve, especially with an unfamiliar and lower-quality camera. When I sought guidance on project requirements, I was simply told, "you're the expert." Unfortunately, I received no feedback on my work until I was let go. I experienced a lack of support from colleagues, and I felt backstabbed by the social media coordinator and the photographer who was supposed to be training me, as it seemed they were purposely being vague with guidance, almost as if to throw me in the water and see if I can swim. My position was posted on LinkedIn just days before my termination, highlighting a lack of transparency. It's a small marketing agency that has gone through recent expansion, but unfortunately, that means they’re inexperienced when it comes to running a team and do not notice the toxic mentality of some of their employees. If you’re considering this company, be prepared for minimal support, poor communication, and a disorganized work environment.
