Pros

Wonderful place to work if you’re a seasoned consultant/engineer. Great work/life balance, and leadership that cares a whole lot about employees. Great coworkers and overall culture. Amazing benefits (they actually use the unlimited PTO). Not the best place for newer engineers that need mentorship and learning opportunities. It’s a small consulting firm without a lot of wiggle room for learning. Also expect startup vibes (ish). They’re still figuring out their processes (particularly how to make scrum work for their model), and work can be done inefficiently at times. Be prepared for lots of teamwork (too many meetings in my opinion). Overall, working here didn’t work out for me as a newer engineer, but they treated me very well in my departure and shared that they’ve learned a lot about how much they’re able to support learning. I would highly recommend working here if you’re more experienced. I might even reapply in a few years. It’s rare to find a work place that cares about its employees on this level.

Cons

Not a great place for newer/learning engineers, too many meetings (but would still highly recommend working here).

Pros

Great culture/fellow employees, good work/life balance, great place to experiment and invent what works best for you and your team. Most folks are deeply caring, and they especially care about our clients and their missions. Love getting together with everyone at our retreat, and taking breaks where the company is closed 2x a year to rest

Cons

Definitely a start-up/young company - not a lot of processes solidified, but they're working on it. If that's appealing (less hierarchy/bureaucracy), great! But if a lot of structure is important to you, OT might not be the right fit
