Pros

People are generally nice and helpful. Good benefits. Work is simple and generally uncomplicated.

Cons

Do not work here if you have any aspirations of climbing the ladder in a state other than Utah. Hong Kong-based management recently restructured and you will be pushed to move to new Salt Lake City HQ if you want promotions. Work is extremely boring and multiple layers of bureaucracy make it impossible to get things done quickly. Container shipping has become a commoditized industry and employees are treated as such.

Work life balance. Heavy invest in Information Technology. Very stable and rare layoff their employee. Helpful colleagues.

Cons

- Top down mangement, especially middle level management, they always guess what their boss want but not focus on how to make it better. - Lack of innovation, because the culture of entire department is always agree with your boss. - Most of management actually not underatand or outstanding in IT even they work for ISD, they get promotted only because they please their supervisor. - Treat people as a resource only. - Bad annual review, reviewer is your supervisor and they always consider relationship instead of your output.

good benefits, 401k plan, good experiences with a large global company

Cons

Not many opporutnities for growth. Company is quite discriminatory in hiring practices. Do not expect much room for growth if you are not Asian or male. Leadership is almost non-existent and there is a definite lack of talented leaders throughou the company.
