Pros
There are some genuinely nice people who work here, but they're usually at the bottom of the rung holding out hope things will change or that the abuse they get from most senior management is tolerable because they are trying to make a difference. I feel so sorry for them.
Cons
There is a strange undercurrent at this organisation that borders on bullying. I was so broken down by the time I left that I feel completely unworthy of doing any job at all. Senior management will stomp all over you and squash your potential just to be sure you don't show them up and it's tolerated by their leaders . Good people are forced to leave through burnout . Bad eggs thrive here - and I found myself in a situation where I thought about leaving my profession because my leader was a bully and his boss was okay with it because he got his team to hit those all important targets - at a personal cost to their health, families, mental health and confidence. I wish I had never laid eyes on that job advertisement and wish I could give everyone still stuck under my old manager a big hug. Alot of us who have left are dealing with burn out related health issues. Be prepared to toil like it's the 1800s with no reward and be prepared to always know your place. Most senior leaders here are unqualified for their positions and thrive because they fit in with the bullying culture. Don't do it and if you are going to go here, please look after yourself.
