Pros

None worth mentioning, None. At. All.

Cons

My first day at Medisca, HR didn't even bother showing up. I wasn't even provided with basic stationary like pens and paper. The director of my department, as well as the manager, didn't even bother to introduce me to the team, so for weeks, no one even knew I was part of their team and I just had to walk around and introduce myself. Everything just went downhill from there, nothing improved. Not even when they made us do their employee satisfaction survey, because after a year of waiting, the results still haven't been shared with us. Instead, they made us do ANOTHER survey about the current pandemic situation. And this is a whole other story on how they have a complete disregard for their employees health and safety. Employees that have the possibility to work from home aren't allowed and when you speak up, they reprimand you by giving a disciplinary notice that they force you to sign. Besides putting a few hand sanitizers around the place, they made no effort to make it a safe place to work. The cubicles are less than a meter apart. So when you don't feel comfortable going into work everyday and you're stressed out, they make you feel like guilty and as if you're being unreasonable. And instead of giving more vacation days to de-stress during this pandemic, they punish you for taking time off by taking away hours from your next paycheck. And forget those of us that have small children. They don't give a crap about your situation. It's either you come into to work, or quit to take care of your kids. Til this day, management still didn't have a team meeting about the pandemic situation, not even to ask us how we are all doing. They have their eyes closed and are pretending like it's business as usual, which is not about having the best quality products but about how much they can sell and profit from covid19. They make you feel like there's nothing better out there, they beat you down like a dog, and when they've finally broken you, they will try to make you feel like you're worthless. So when you finally have the courage to leave this dump, the manager will talk to other employees about how you were ungrateful and how they were going to fire you anyways. On top of all that the manager goes on to tell everyone that he has a lot of connections in the Industry and can ruin your career. This entire company is unbelievable. They offer lip service when they tell you to be transparent and honest with them. Don't trust them, they will use what you said against you. And don't even get me started on how unfairly they treat the warehouse employees. They're treating like second class citizens, it's incredible how they're not even treated like humans beings, and proof is that they're paying them minimum wage.

Pros

Great stepping stone to knowing what a bad company looks like so that you REALLY appreciate your next job.

Cons

I worked at Medisca for 4 years and to this day I still have PTSD. They run the entire company like it’s a high school. The management walks around like they are better than everyone else. They all have clicks and talk badly about all the employees. I was a devoted worker and had to fight constantly to try and get a raise...it never happened which is my I left and moved on to a MUCH better company. Don’t be fooled by how sweet they are to you during the interview. They are all a bunch of suck ups. In sales all they do is push push and push without really training their employees on how to sell better. There is no personalized training. They treat their employees like they are all children. Once you work there for about 6 months you realize how things run....and HR is not your friend. When I was there they prohibited anyone from having their phones on their desk. Are you kidding me!? They even sent out an email dictating how much time you are allowed in the washroom as if you’d be watched....I am SO HAPPY I no longer work there and will NEVER work there again. All those who do work there now and have been there for years are the ones that like to play the game of suck up to Tony and Maria (the owners). Other companies are not like that. Trust me. Don’t waste your time.
