Pros

The salary I started on was higher than my previous company. I received a fair amount of training in the short time I was there.

Cons

I was promised project management opportunities and was restricted to scheduling only. I was expected to travel 100 miles each way - DAILY. Very little compensation, only government standard 45p per mile. When driving 4 hours every day this is exhausting. Redundancies were made despite promises there would be none. Communication is so poor, they have values that the management clearly had written for them because none of them demonstrate it. One of them is responsiveness and you can't get a response unless you borderline harass.

Pros

Very knowledgeable and passionate employees, Supportive environment Plenty of training opportunities Very diverse teams! Decent holiday and PTO packages,

Cons

Current consultants tend to be placed on the back burner in favor of hiring new ones. Even after supposedly doing regular "salary comparison studies", pay here is below industry standard. Management lacks focus and has a tendency to change course frequently, leading to confusion for those not involved in internal meetings. Business managers have a bit of an arrogant attitude at times. Unless you are VERY passionate about project management, this may not be the best fit for a long-term career.

Pros

- If you're in early careers and looking for experience, it will be a good fit to gain some initial experience - Colleagues are nice and socials are usually fun - Remote working in a number of roles for the lucky few

Cons

- Pay is well below market value. Women and people of colour are paid significantly less than their counterparts, and the business does not care to fix this. As a result, several women have left the business - Bonuses have been cut due to business performance. Bonuses are reduced if the business hasn't been able to place you in a role, as they will cite 'not enough billable hours' -The business now requires consultants to do sales work through their personal LinkedIn pages and bring in work, without any adequate training. Something that was not specified to people before joining - High staff turnover over the last 2 years due to a number of issues including redundancies - A lack of opportunities and Project Manager roles, often consultants are put on engagements where they do a lot of admin and PA related work - For more senior levels, promotion requires you to manage teams of 6-10, however the business has no opportunities that allow for this meaning promotion is stunted - Training is below average and there is a lack of courses that are from professionally recognized bodies. After 2 years you feel like you've done it all - It often feels like a glorified recruitment agency, due to no support or contact from the business once you’ve been placed with a client - Working away budgets are very low, meaning you'll end up staying in budget hotels with minimal dinner allowances
