M-Brain = Brain Drain

Pros

The Chairman is like a clown and offers good laughs to staff on regular basis because of ridiculous behavior and regularly stupid actions

Cons

M-Brain's media monitoring products suck. Customers are unhappy and changing to Metlwater and Radian9 in droves. Company has ZERO organic growth and problems in every departments. It's basically a sinking ship and a lunatic chairman calling the shots.

Thank you for your feedback. As our bond is listed, we are unfortunately unable to comment on our sales figures. However, your claim about zero organic growth in the company does not hold true. Kind regards, Krista Tirkkonen Chief HR Officer

Horrible employer... Slave wages

Pros

Frankly nothing I can honestly think of.

Cons

The company is so greedy. Profits were over EUR4M in 2014 and the company still insists to pay slave wages to staff. The CEO of the company (one of the most in-genuine people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting) flies around the world in business class (that's EUR3,000 to EUR4,000 a flight) while so many staff like I work for minimum wage. What's the incentive for us to work hard? To do quality work? The company offered no annual salary increase, and hardly any bonuses. Definitely do not work here. You will learn nothing and hardly be able to live on these wages. As soon as I can find a new job I am leave this co.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback. Salaries vary from office to office due to different rates of pay and costs of living etc. An employee’s salary is primarily dictated by their role. We regularly compare our average salaries to market averages and for example a media analyst in Finland would on average earn the recommended wage of a translator by the union agreement. In addition to competitive salary we also offer an exceptionally large variety of employee benefits in all countries and these should be taken into consideration when looking at the total remuneration package. Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss your concerns in person or would like more info on the compensation principles and models in place. Kind regards, Krista Tirkkonen Chief HR Officer

Pros

It would be nice if the co had lots of great characteristics, but in truth there are very few. The culture was one aspect that used to be very good but the new owners of the company have made a mess of that too.

Cons

I see other negative comments written below about the chairman of the co. I can affirm those to be accurate, sadly. He's just appalling and is patently bringing the co down. Too many negatives to list about this employer. 1) in past 6 months, the CEO of the co (hired in Q2 2015) was fired due to disagreements with Chairman, the CFO of ~5 years resigned from the co, and many other prime staffers have quit the co also; 2) too many of the most capable and intelligent staffers have left the co for better futures elsewhere. The outcome: a major dumbing down of organization in past 12 months. And the few talented staffers left in company are proactively seeking new opportunities elsewhere; 3) the chairman of the co is untrustworthy, totally unprofessional and thoroughly inept. He has an oversized ego, believes in nepotism over meritocracy and most dangerous has no idea how inept he is; 4) many of the Co's long-time customers are moving to competition because of declining confidence in the Co's mgmt, declining service and poor delivery; 5) compensation for many staffers has become much less attractive over past 12 months; 6) the culture is quickly deteriorating. Culture was a bright point previously (in many offices) but no longer (substandard leaders create substandard culture). I am seeking new opportunities and will move on soon as can find a suitable one.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are saddened to hear that this is how you feel about your colleagues and management of the company. We ran a Global Staff Survey a few months before your post and we can safely say that fortunately most of our employees feel very differently about the company. A clear majority of our employees globally agree or strongly agree that the company has developed into the right direction and the team atmosphere has been rated relaxed and pleasant by nearly 80 % of our staff in Finland. In our country offices, nearly 90% of our staff agree or strongly agree that they find their job satisfying. If you would like to discuss your concerns or improvement ideas in person, please do get in touch with me. We value all feedback we receive from our staff and want to make sure that we are constantly developing as an employer. Kind regards, Krista Tirkkonen Chief HR Officer
