Pros

I don't have any to share except that it was remote.

Cons

A Toxic and Hostile Environment for People of Color I’m writing this review to bring accountability to LucidLink for its mistreatment of people of color, especially women of color, in the workplace. My experience working under my direct manager was marked by bullying, microaggressions, and consistent gaslighting, creating a toxic environment with no HR support to address these serious issues. From the start, I felt cornered by my supervisor’s actions. When I raised ideas around adding accessibility or diversity to our campaigns, he responded with defensiveness and dismissive behavior, belittling my input. This pattern extended beyond professional differences — it became personal. My manager consistently undermined my contributions, messaging me at unreasonable hours, such as 6 a.m., to accuse me of not meeting ambiguous expectations, even after I submitted revised strategies and requested clearer guidance. During team meetings, he would privately Slack or text me, insisting I “show more enthusiasm,” “communicate more,” or “turn my camera on” — demands that felt intrusive and uncalled for, particularly when my camera was only off momentarily due to technical or personal reasons. This behavior felt targeted and added to the mounting pressure of being in an environment that lacked any real support for WOC. When HR was finally established, I reported these issues hoping for an improvement. Instead, my concerns were weaponized and used against me to push me out of the company. I am still working through the mental and emotional toll of this experience, which has left a lasting impact on my well-being. LucidLink has an accountability issue when it comes to diversity and creating a safe environment for all employees. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others and encourages LucidLink to address these serious issues with transparency and accountability.

Pros

Working at LucidLink offers a multitude of benefits, with the most notable being the exceptional team and the stimulating nature of the work. The colleagues here are not just highly skilled but are also incredibly supportive, creating a cooperative and enriching atmosphere that is truly motivating. The compensation package is competitive, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the employees. Furthermore, our projects are at the forefront of our industry, presenting challenges that keep the workday engaging and rewarding. This work culture is the cornerstone of LucidLink’s inventive output and sets this company apart.

Cons

Despite the significant advantages, there are pressing issues with the upper management, particularly concerning Julian and Dobry. Their leadership style often lacks the effectiveness needed to guide the company toward its strategic goals, leading to friction within team dynamics and disrupting the workflow. Moreover, despite evident management flaws, the CTO’s excessive trust in their abilities is alarming. This overconfidence has led to decisions that not only stifle the company’s growth but also negatively affect team morale.

Pros

Fully remote. Nice coworkers. Decent perks.

Cons

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so just go look at thisisfine.jpg Employee morale has been collapsing for over a year. Those responsible are not held accountable. Leadership seems insulated and tone-deaf, operating within a self-reinforcing echo chamber. The challenge of poor morale does not seem to be of much concern to those at the top, who view it as a phase all companies go through. They are satisfied that we benchmark well against others in the notoriously toxic tech industry. The response has been performative - workshops on feedback rather than actually doing anything about the feedback already received. Advancement depends less on performance than on personal favor. Those in the CEO’s inner circle rise quickly, those outside it stall regardless of merit. Decisions are made on the basis of relationships and feelings more often than the objective needs of the business and merits of those involved. Resources are funneled toward impressive-sounding new hires in upper management, while existing employees are left to stagnate. Very little upward mobility. Next to no examples of development from within. The prevailing attitude from leadership is clear: you need us more than we need you. Working here is treated as a privilege, and anyone unhappy is encouraged to leave. This reinforces the culture of keeping mouths shut. Persistent business challenges are left unaddressed until they escalate into crisis. Difficult but necessary decisions are postponed and then executed poorly, compounding the damage. A widespread reluctance to engage in direct or uncomfortable conversations results in weak management and ineffective practices that persist far too long. When corrective action finally occurs, outcomes tend to be worse because those involved were never given clear feedback about their performance. This pattern extends from top to bottom. The saying goes that pride cometh before the fall. There has been no shortage of pride, even arrogance, here. For most of the company's history it was deserved. But there's little to be proud of in how this company has been treating the people that helped make it great. Years of bad decisions are finally catching up. Tough times lie ahead. It's not clear the company is ready for them.
