Pros

Really enjoyed the international appeal and expertise. Lots of opportunities to be involved in different projects and willingness to develop if you push for it. Can be a great place to get experience and lead projects. The team and the people were great. Emphasis on culture was good at the time but changed as cost savings were pushed. Decent benefits.

Cons

Salaries on the lower end from general consensus. Long hours expected and lots of travel. Heavy on the politics/bureaucracy and red tape to get things done. Upper management was disjointed with mixed directions. Frequent turnover in senior management which did not help with the direction. Morale was in general low.

Pros

Flexible working is the only good thing

Cons

Lloyd's Register is a company where mediocrity thrives at the top. The directorial level is bloated with an excessive number of individuals who seem to exist solely to collect exorbitant salaries. These "leaders" are completely disconnected from the daily struggles of regular employees, offering minimal contributions while reaping extravagant rewards. Career advancement at Lloyd's Register is virtually nonexistent. Promotions are as rare as a happy hour in the CEO's office. The only apparent career path is becoming another overpaid director, which requires joining the exclusive "yes-man club." Every 6-12 months, Lloyd's Register subjects its employees to another ill-conceived restructuring. These "reorganizations" conveniently result in the offshoring of valuable jobs, leaving behind a skeleton crew to shoulder the ever-increasing workload. The leadership team at Lloyd's Register is a closed circle that thrives on unquestioning obedience. Critical thinking and innovative ideas are unwelcome. The only way to get ahead is to become a sycophant, blindly agreeing with every decision, no matter how illogical. Lloyd's Register is a breeding ground for burnout. Management sets unrealistic, punitive deadlines that are impossible to meet. Employees are expected to work excessive hours with little to no recognition for their efforts. This relentless pressure takes a heavy toll on mental health, and the company offers minimal support. As mentioned in a few other reviews, while Lloyd's Register may project an image of inclusivity, there's a clear undercurrent of racism. Microaggressions and subtle biases create a hostile work environment for many employees. The company's once-valued motto of "caring" now seems like a cruel joke. There's no genuine concern for employee well-being. It's all about the bottom line, regardless of the human cost. If you're looking for a company that values its employees, offers opportunities for growth, and fosters a healthy work environment, then avoid Lloyd's Register. This company is a toxic trap that will leave you feeling exploited and undervalued.
