Pros

Products to try every month

Cons

I don't know what has happened in L'occitane over the last 2 or 3 years. But this was a company I was proud to work for. But it became like many places a cash cow. Money over staff. I was useful for the dirty work eg, closing with no experience. Covering shifts. Deliveries. Absolutely no opportunity to advance in the company. I was useful until I wasn't until they made up some bizarre accusation when I was actually quite ill and fired me.

Pros

If you are lucky you will have a nice team, product allocation, nice brand commitments, good intentions behind the company.

Cons

Cliquey atmosphere, people will not be honest about bad personalities etc because no one wants to rock the boat so not the safest long term job. Above all this is a money making machine as much as they try to convince you the reasons they cut costs etc is for your benefit.. Upper management and HQ out of touch with retail, would not be able to thrive a week in retail yet make many decisions that make our job more difficult.
