Cutting Edge Work

Pros

- Intelligent colleagues that are up to a challenge. The learn-it-all approach is supported. Work processes allow anyone to contribute, it's just a matter of "sticking your hand up" instead of expecting someone to send you a golden invitation. - Working with large customers involves doing things that you won't find elsewhere - Cloud-focused, so no stoneaged stuff to drag you backwards, and you have a chance to develop cutting edge skills. - A can-do environment. If you want to do something - dot it. Not suitable for moaners who expect things to be given to them on a plate. - Agile. I've witnessed failing processes change in under a month - a change that was driven by staff, not management, but supported by management when presented to them. - No moaners ... they mostly left around the same time to a lesser competitor and posted their 1* reviews here at the same time :P - Life/Work balance is excellent. Family comes first.

Cons

- Yes, some internal processes do need to improve but can-do people. - Yes, there are problems with the bonus plan.

Pros

No current pros, due to current management

Cons

Management, talent loss.. They have lost every profile but 3 since the acquisition. Why? Due to no adherence to strategy, loss of identity. What happens? Profits go down. What is the quickfix? Get a slugger in. Alpha, macho culture. Ooh ha we will do this and that; what happens? Toxic sales culture, toxic consultant culture, a flurry of staff augmentation projects. So what does this entail? You can't call yourself an innovative Cloud company, and have people literally do patching of client Virtual Machines as the peak. Also.. What is up with this Virtual Data Center? I mean.. Microsoft made it; you guys re-sell it great.. But everyone else is moving over to Enterprise-scale.. Why are we still stuck in the past when we are supposed to be INNOVATIVE?
