Pros

Excellent compensation and benefits, great work-life balance.

Cons

Horrible corporate culture, where only sycophancy is rewarded. Anybody who dares to speak their mind is quickly terminated, or ostracized by their peers. Company spends tons of money on external consultants who, upon realizing that HOOPP is a cash cow, tend to stick around for years and years. Many of those external consultants get hired as VP's. Incompetent leadership who keep asking for employee's opinions and then blatantly ignore it.

Pros

Generally a great organization with great benefits and competitive salary. Most individuals are professional and pleasant to work with. If you are in a department led by a leadership team that has integrity, it can be a place of employment that will provide a rewarding experience and career growth.

Cons

The IT department has been dysfunctional for a few years. Noted the last review stated only a ‘tiny’ few have had negative experience and ‘professionals’ would leave quietly and not post any reviews. The truth is only a ‘tiny’ few have had the courage to speak up, report and post here to reveal what is the state of the department. As a result these individuals were ‘tracked’, discredited, gaslighted and unjustifiably let go. It’s offensive that the last post states that people take pleasure reporting abusive and negative behaviour. The truth it people endure abuse longer than they should before taking action to report it or post a negative review. NOONE is enjoying this. People should be encouraged to speak up and empowered to speak out and NOT be suppressed and intimidated. The truth is only a ‘tiny’ few are culprits and continue to bully and marginalize others. Some have been let go recently but few still remain. These few have been given license to behave like bullies and intimidate others with few to no consequence. Verbal, psychological or any kind of harassment is unacceptable towards anyone at anytime - even if only towards a ‘tiny’ few. All should have right to feel safe coming to work and not stress about the toxic environment they have to come into daily. Enough IS enough. The company has a moral obligation to address workplace harassment and creating a safe environment that is inclusive and respectful to all individuals.
