Toxic and low pay

Pros

WFH - They're the only company that actually did this for quite some time. Was great and easier when we were given laptops, but after I left apparently they took those back and made everyone take desktops. The gifts they gaslight you with Social events. The hours in QA are pretty good. Esp the 7-3.

Cons

- Toxic work culture. Management go on a power trip and don't smell their own s**t. - The pay is extremely low. I've seen the same roles at other companies for 30-40k more than offered here. - Micro managing. If they catch you simply googling something or checking your phone you are told off and given a warning. People I worked with who had kids were told that they should give daycare/schools the front office number and they'll get in touch with us in case of emergencies. This is beyond ridiculous - we're adults, with adult responsibilities. If you don't trust me having my phone on me, you shouldn't hire me. - They do not support you. If you are making 'errors' these are heavily counted and critisised, you're given warnings and 'discussions'. You're made to have daily meetings with your manager on how to improve, you're forced to have a long winded reason as to why you made that mistake and being a human and humans make mistakes isn't a good enough answer. - No progression, no support in progressing your career. I brought up to my manager 3 times regarding wanting to progress into HR. All 3 times I was promised assistance, and nothing came of it. - You only get anywhere if you suck up to management like crazy. If you don't worship your manager, you're not going anywhere. - Favoritism in teams is very obvious. My best friend and I worked in the same team and whilst she got treated very well, was supported very well, praised, given raises, etc I was the opposite. We found this disgusting that we're seeing the big differences in the way each other was being treated when we worked the exact same. We put in the same effort. In honesty we both agreed I put in more effort.

Pros

Gym, location, some colleagues, free parking

Cons

Micromanagement, too much politics, miserable morale, bullying, people in management only care about themselves. They also like to put people on performance management or manage people out if you dare to challenge anything they say.

Pros

There's a cafe in the building that has great hospitality staff.

Cons

If you call in sick you lose $150 from your pay. The way you even call in sick is toxic. You're given a 'hotline' to call, where a manager will pickup, question you and demand a doctor's certificate by the end of the day. The company recently got a 'stand down order' from ASIC for failing to consider the financial situation of customers. This point leads into the next one. From my perspective as a sales agent, you're essentially told by management to push policies onto customers, they use the "if you nag them enough they may cave' mentality. Any other way is disencouraged. Micromanaging is ripe, if you don't hit a KPI, for a single day even, you're effectively 'targeted' by multiple managers who listen to your calls and make judgements behind your back. I personally saw a managers email just open with different agents listed and unprofessional comments beside those names. That email shared to other managers, effectively creating a 'us-vs-them' environment. Hard work is not rewarded. The more people you talk to counts against Greenstones way of 'grading' you. Again, pushing a policy on an umming and ahhing customer is what the company wants. Trainers are outdated in their knowledge of the company's product. They answer questions you ask in a roundabout way without giving answers
