Pros
So much pressure, your next real 8-hour job will feel like part time. You become really fast at your job in order to avoid nonsense complaining and you learn to have hope for a some kind of appreciation that never comes. In a month you will manage to accomplish enough projects for your portfolio...! If you are smoker, you are lucky... smoke at your office so to avoid breaks! If you are introvert, you are lucky as well as long as you are not allowed to leave work in groups.
Cons
If you want life, then you have to cut your sleep. Be prepared to be bullied from your boss. Do not try to bring the police, he will disappear and deny everything. Some times, if you find yourself hidden in a small hot room(server room) that's because there are some of his friends outside from the tax services. There is a high chance to hate your job. if you are not smoker, be prepared to become one. If you are woman, you will never be considered as developer by your boss. If you want to quit, be sure you have arranged all of the money he owns to you from previous months. You should never consider working for that person. He is a thief with 0 humanity, 0 understanding, he could blackmail you and your family, he uses people, he is dangerous.
Pros
Some parts of the office were nicely decorated
Cons
The main problem with this company is the owner and his mentality towards the people that work for him. He falsely introduces himself as a very well educated and established graphic designer; something that early on, I realized couldn’t be further from the truth. He may have had aesthetic knowledge of the area his company focuses on, but he had no clue on how things are made or how much time or effort it takes. Staff’s computers had software installed that allowed him to see what is happening on the users’ screen at any given time, even via his cell phone, criticizing if anyone dared to have a look at their personal e-mails during the day. A few days after hiring me, he informed me that the company’s working hours are not 8 but 10. I am not talking about staying occasionally late to finish a demanding project, I am talking about working all days with or without reason two extra hours, which other than being illegal, is something we have not discussed during any interview session. The salary had no standard date, it was a “somewhere around the beginning of the month” kind of thing. He never expressed his satisfaction, always criticizing everything, while placing all the company’s work on the shoulders of two employees, at the same time. And finally, on top of everything, were his manners. Rude, ill-mannered, constantly smoking, and self-centered trying to force the idea that you have a lot to learn from him… In a way, that was quite true…
