Pros

Working with people from all over the world.

Cons

It got bought and sold twice, and a new business spun off. Typical growth spurts common for mid-sized companies. It's a tough business - being a vendor inside another retailer, you have lots of customers pulling you in different directions. The leadership team was wiped out after the 2nd merger, and now they have a new leader from a respected US Restaurant Group. I hear she's good.

Pros

Pay was pretty good, free lunch is nice, the whole foods staff were always friendly. Life and accident insurance were a nice bonus. Really easy if you've got a decent team. No late nights, great if you're a morning person. If you're willing to drive a lot, dedicate a lot of time, and manage there's probably some career opportunities. I have 0 desire to manage so I didn't do any of that.

Cons

Was overworked and micromanaged. Had days where I was scheduled to work alone with high production goals and unreasonable expectations. On days I wasn't alone, I was constantly badgered to be producing at all hours, even if we were done early, but also not to produce too much? Strange to have a job that doesn't want me to be efficient, but then demands it other times. Management kept bugging us to increase sales but there is literally nothing we can do about that, since we're just a kiosk in a whole foods and have 0 control over if people actually want to shop at whole foods that day. Also the health insurance is hilariously bad. A checkup and vaccines, and absolutely nothing else is covered.

Pros

Great opportunities for experience, it is the kind of place where you get out what you put in, until you hit the ceiling of an unresponsive corporate management.

Cons

Turnover everywhere, even at the corporate level which makes the entire company's culture a revolving door. Saw so much corporate turnover in my two years that it's no surprise they don't care about any of their employees that work the locations. Frequently tried to drive business with gimmicks rather than address internal issues like the rampant turnover.

Pros

Nothing. Bad management, employees and atmosphere

Cons

Genji is not a safe space. They overwork you and underpay you. Genji "talks" about raises and bonuses.. but it's a lie. There is no moving up in this company. I have been working here since 20017 and threw this pandemic.. and I received a 50$ bonus.. No raises, no nothing. If you know Sushi...look else where. Also, if you stand up straight and move they will hire you..but be ready to to all the work with same pay as someone who does little.
