Pros

When I first started, I had a load of enthusiastic and talented colleagues who taught me a lot of what I know today.

Cons

Most of those colleagues left or gave up; flat management structure means CEO is basically a dictator and your line manager, and he generally doesn't care what you think.

Pros

Colleagues made this job worth while.

Cons

The entire codebase is a mess and hard to work with. Developers spend more time replying to support tickets regarding buggy aspects of the products than actually developing code. The company meetings drag on for hours which eats into precious time which could be used fixing problems or criticals (of which there are at least one a week). There is a playstation kicking around somewhere but the CEO has said it isn’t to be set up. There are very very few senior developers at this company so the opportunities to learn are limited.
