Pros

You can interact with other sales assistants and the store manager herself is a nice interactive and opened person. 50% extra if you work Sundays

Cons

A long list of negatives: The contracts are tricky, so the full-time contract where you spend more than 40 hours in the store is 32 hours contract. Once you sign the contract of 32 hours you think this is 4 days a week but it's not! it's a minimum of 5 days and you MUST show up at least one day during the weekend. At the time of recruiting, I was informed about getting my transportation paid, however, it turned out to be only paid if I use public transport which is more expensive than coming with my car. Also, Zara doesn't compensate more than 11 euros per day, while trains in the Netherlands are super expensive and the same for buses which are very costly. Very very low wage compering to what I working. I come back home exhausted after a long day of running around the whole store, I am reaching on average over 25k steps per day If I am working 8 hours shift, and the day is totally finished for me once I am done. I wasn't introduced to the job properly and that caused a lot of confusion every day when I am working. More problems with the system which the majority of the time doesn't work and I have to memorize blindly the entire store which doesn't make sense, especially since the clothes location keeps changing regularly and every few days. In addition, if the system work that doesn't mean the problem is solved since a lot of the time the system gives wrong info about the locations of the product and I get complaints from my employer about why I am not fast. Well, guess what, the whole thing is a big mess! Note that I can keep listing more things. This is truly coming from the heart after working there for several months already.

Pros

Good pay, great coworkers, store discount, flexible hours for college student. Men’s or Kids department is a calmer environment than Women’s.

Cons

Some bad customers; Men’s department you may encounter perverted/misogynist customers, and women’s department you may encounter mean/entitled customers.

Pros

The coworkers are the best. This is for the North Star location

Cons

Management. There is clearly favoritism. They don't want to help, they will yell at you and ask why aren't you moving fast enough. The GM doesn't do anything. Her only job is to "talk to the higher ups." She will yell at you if you speak Spanish and say English only. If you ever had an interview here some of you were judge by the way you looked. Quote from one of the managers "I didn't like the way they looked." Also, it's a problem when you talk to your coworkers when it slow.
