Pros

The people are generally great. From head office colleagues to all of those out in the operation. The onsite coffee shop is decent (but that’s not really a pro imho) and you get a bit of a discount in the unloved restaurants and aging hotels. It’s a well loved brand. But the brand is going downhill due to constant cuts.

Cons

Rigid 3 day hybrid attendance rules, despite hiring half the support centre staff on a 2 day basis. It’s borderline constructive dismissal if you can’t meet the pointless attendance rules. The office “culture” is extremely bland. A lick of paint here and there doesn’t constitute an office refresh. There’s nothing inspiring about the workplace. The constant restructures are the CEO’s MO - cost cutting. It’s no longer about the people who make hospitality a great place to work. New bonus has totally screwed over those in the middle to pay those at the top even more. I used to love it here. Now I can’t wait to leave.

Pros

Good elementary development, encouraging staff and motivational individuals, good company benefits and range of roles and skills to be trained in

Cons

often shift work, inflexible working and holiday entitlement, low pay, from one extreme to the next between being underemployed and overly worked for the salary paid.
