Pros

Great location (albeit not for the wallet!), great parties, annual conference and after work social culture.

Cons

Culture: very hierarchical, lack of Executive engagement with the staff, no staff recognition unless you're buddies with the managers, A LOT of secrecy over trivial matters, promotions given to the same people etc etc HR policies apply to some people but not others dependant on who is spoken to. Salaries across the same teams vary significantly. Over my 6 years the few issues I personally raised with HR took heaven and earth to even get look at initially, and then re-butted at the first hurdle with no chances of appeal. A ridiculous amount of politics across most departments, with IT and Transformation being the worst for it. The problem starts from the top and many of the execs in my opinion have not got a clue. Oh and the amount of money spent/wasted on contract staff across the company is astounding especially with the recent redundancies made. I could go on but will leave it there. Wesleyan considerably under-values their staff and in turn loses all the good people, however this means they can go elsewhere and make a difference where they do feel valued, which is exactly what I did :-)
